Have you ever thought about the importance fo aviation in saving human life and in critical situacions that require speed and immediate avalaibility?
Air medical transport has become a well-established part of the emergency medical services (EMS)
system. Through the use of aircraft, patients are moved swiftly and safely throughout the world. However,
for a number of reasons, the use of air medical transport remains somewhat controversial. One reason for
this controversy is that debate continues to surround appropriate utilization of air medical transport. Since
the topics of triage to air transport were last addressed by the National Association of EMS Physicians’
(NAEMSP’s) Air Medical Task Force (hereafter abbreviated as “the Task Force”), there has been
significant evolution of thought concerning appropriateness of air medical dispatch.

This year the City of Palermo, Italy, is the host city of Manifesta 12
Quattro Canti Square, in Palermo city center
About Manifesta
Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennial, originated in the early nineties in response to the political, economic and social changes following the end of the Cold War and the subsequent steps towards European integration. Since then, Manifesta has developed into a travelling platform that focuses on the dialogue between art and society in Europe.
Manifesta is a project based on community: its success depends on the collaboration between the international and local actors and the involvement and engagement of the local communities.
Manifesta is the European Nomadic Biennial, held in a different host city every two years. It is a major international art event, attracting visitors from all over the world.
Manifesta is the go-to place for discovering emerging artists, thought-provoking ideas, new artworks especially commissioned for the event, and creative experiences in dialogue with spectacular locations of each host city.
Manifesta was founded in Amsterdam in the early 1990s as a European biennial of contemporary art striving to enhance artistic and cultural exchanges after the end of Cold War.
In the next decade, Manifesta will focus on evolving from an art exhibition into an interdisciplinary platform for social change, introducing holistic urban research and legacy-oriented programming as the core of its model.
Manifesta is still run by its original founder, Dutch historian Hedwig Fijen, and managed by a permanent team of international specialists.
Each new edition is started up and fundraised individually. Currently, Manifesta is working from its offices in Amsterdam and Palermo, with an upcoming office in Marseille for Manifesta 13 opening in the French city in 2020.
Manifesta in Palermo
Manifesta 12 in Palermo in 2018 will be a fantastic opportunity for the city to reinvigorate its local and international identity. It is a moment for Europe to appreciate the significance of its Mediterranean dimension and identity: Palermo brings Manifesta to the Mediterranean and the Mediterranean to Europe. Manifesta 12 is an opportunity to celebrate Palermo for what it really is: a laboratory for the humanities, arts and culture. The city will be able to renew itself and pave a way for its future.
The upcoming pre-biennial program will start in building the process for a sustainable theoretical framework and will set out the parameters of the city’s revitalization process. In this phase, Manifesta would like to activate the communities of Palermo in the identification of its mission statement and objectives, as well as the challenges, expectations and outcomes of Manifesta 12. For more information visit Manifesta official web site.
Manifesta 12 opened on the evening of 16 June 2018 and run until 4 November 2018, featuring the work of 50 participants and 20 venues.
A diffuse network of events including artistic installations, videos, performances, urban actions, and literary projects constitutes The Planetary Garden. Cultivating Coexistence developed by the Manifesta 12 Creative Mediators Bregtje van der Haak, Andrés Jaque, Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli and Mirjam Varadinis.
Fly with us to Palermo and live a new amazing artistic experience!
Embraer Phenom 300 was declared the best-selling light business jet for 2017 and it is the last jet into Luxwing’s family. It is really operative since February 2018 and, to date, it has made more than 20 flight. In this post, we will describe our airplane and their details, we will illustrate why this vehicle isn’t a minor upgrade to the Phenom 100 and how it is stronger and more sophisticated. Embraer’s Phenom 300E: “The new standard in value and customer experience”.
Phenom 300 is Embraer’s attempt to stretch the limits of the light jet segment by creating an airplane with best-in-class performance, comfort and utility while keeping operating costs at a lower level.
Embraer, a few years ago, delivered more than one hundred Phenom 100, that despite an economic recession that caused many cancellations. This airplane garnered price and rave review for its beefy design and predictable flying manners.
The 300 does have many things in common with the 100, including the basic fuselage, the use of new-generation Pratt & Whitney Canada engines and the same airliner-tough design philosophy.
With Phenom 300, Embraer was looking to go far beyond its success with the 100, with increasing speed and field performance, a comfortable aisled cabin, excellent range and great operating economies and maintainability.
Design inspired to Innovation, Comfort, Ergonomics and performance
The aircraft’s sleek, fierce look – highlighted by its high stance and low, swept wing with winglets – is a real head-turner, delivering a ramp presence that is immediately recognizable, infinitely enviable and absolutely unforgettable. Plus, the aircraft’s largest-in-class door and unique airstair with handrails and optional step lighting make for an impressive grand entrance.
They gave the 300 a longer fuselage, an all-new wing, powerful and quiet Pratt & Whitney Canada turbofan engines, a hefty fuel capacity and solid construction.
The cabin of the 300 is stretched 14 inches — it seems like much more — from that of the 100. It has a center aisle, but with the Oval Lite concept, Embraer has cleverly maximized the comfort of the cabin. The Design was conceived jointly with renowned design house BMW Designworks, the interior is upscale and minimalist, using clean lines, muted colors and open space to give the feeling of a larger space. Thye windows are larger than those in nearly all midsize airplanes and nicely placed.
Finally, Phenom 300 has the best cabin pressurization in its class: At 45,000 feet, the Phenom 300E is pressurized like a cabin at altitude of 6,600 feet. So occupants feel less fatigued and have a more comfortable flight experience.
Measuring 74 cubic feet (2.09 cubic meters), the Phenom 300E’s external baggage capacity is big enough to accommodate your whole group’s luggage. An optional wardrobe keeps your suits wrinkle-free, and for additional convenience, the aircraft also offers 10 cubic feet of internal storage space.
Phenom 300 is the best airplane for intercontinental business travel or for entertainment days. Luxwing is very happy and proud to be able to host its customers on this plane.
Luxwing hopes to see you very soon on our airplanes, for more information does not reach out to contact sales department or compile the request form.

The castle is situated on 6 acres of land and if winter walks are your thing, then put on your coat and take a stroll through the orchards and forests to the river Eden which runs through the properties grounds.

Contact us now for details on flights to your chosen destination, and to hear more about all the perks of flying private!
Whether you’re being taken by a friend or have finally made the leap from commercial travel to private aviation – Welcome, the grass is rightfully greener over here. But, if you’ve never flown private before there are a few bad habits that we’ll have to break first to allow to enjoy to your luxury travel as much as possible!
When to arrive
Firstly, and most importantly, don’t arrive early! This seems to be difficult for some of our customers to understand due to years of being social conditioned to turn up at the airport two hours before, but with private travel it’s much more relaxed. 15-30 minutes is more than enough for a brief security check and a glass of champagne before the plane is in the air. This is in fact one of the most popular reasons that people come back to private aviation again and again. Once you’ve experienced door to door travel without waiting, it’s hard to go back!
Tailored to your needs
But what happens if you’re running late? Well the beautiful thing about private travel is that the timetable revolves around you! Just give us a 30 second call and we can completely change our plans to better suit your timing and even destination! A day round trip to, for example, Milan would be difficult without private aviation due to the number of hours spent waiting in airports and negotiating security, on top of that you must abide by a pre-determined airline schedule. Flying with Luxwing allows you to spend a relaxed day in a new city and then have the plane waiting for when you’re ready to go home.
Your Favourite Meal at 41,000ft
Once in the air, you’re welcome to make yourself at home and do what you want. We’ve put everything there for you so if you see some snacks or drinks that you fancy tucking into, don’t worry about asking – go right ahead! You’re also welcome to venture into the cockpit where you can chat with your pilots and find out what’s going on. Something which once again is impossible on commercial travel.
Anything is possible on a private flight, but some things need to be pre-arranged. If you have any dietary requirements or just fancy sushi for lunch, then let us know! There is little that we can’t do for you and if you give us adequate notice we can make sure that bespoke meals and entertainment are catered for once you step foot onto your plane.
Private Transfer to your final destination
Lastly, when you fly with Luxwing the service doesn’t end when you reach your destination. We are able to offer tons of information about your destination to make sure that you have the most pleasurable trip possible. We also offer chauffeur driven transfers to your destination, so that you don’t have to worry about anything when flying with us apart from enjoying your trip.

As the title suggests next week we’ve got one of our favourite events coming up! The Middle East & North Africa Business Aviation association is going to be held on the 12th – 13th of September and we couldn’t be more excited to hear all of the upcoming trends from airlines, suppliers and experts in the field.
The Middle East and North Africa is an extremely fast growing market, with North Africa’s business aircraft fleet in particular growing at twice the rate of the global average! And as Morocco has become the most active market, containing 50% of north African aircraft movements with 15-20% annual growth, it the ideal place to hold this year’s conference!
The event is expected to attract upwards of 2,500 visitors made up of enthusiasts and professionals with the hopes of facilitating face to face meetings between: customers, manufacturers, interior suppliers, maintenance companies, and professionals from all specialisations in the industry. There are 65 companies exhibiting on the day including global suppliers like 3M, Jet Aviation, Aeroshell, Gulfstream and Boeing to name a few.
This all makes it the perfect place for a bit of industry related networking helping you explore the newest trends in the Middle Eastern and North African market, including a keynote presentation on Morocco’s business aviation airport project.
Although this will be the second year that the event has been held in Morocco, this year it will be in a brand new location. Menara airport is only 6km from the city centre facilitating easy access to and from the beautiful city’s luxury hotels. If you haven’t visited the city before, the trip is certainly worth it.
Of course, as with all events, make sure to give Luxwing a call to arrange your private door to door travel, to the event. We can act as your personal concierge offering tips on this beautiful city, whilst setting up private chauffeurs to and from your accommodation. Stay tuned next week to see all the events on offer this September, and if you’re interested in hearing more about the beautiful city of Marrakech, why not let us know through one of our social media channels and perhaps we’ll write a dedicated article on how to enjoy this beautiful city in premium luxury!
